The movie, which is based on Glen A. Larson’s eponymous 1980s television series, stars Ryan Gosling as stuntman Colt, who is looking for a lost movie star he previously doubled for. Alongside Aaron Taylor-Johnson as the AWOL star, Emily Blunt plays Gosling’s ex-girlfriend Jody in the movie.

“We feel like we’re honoring the stunt community,” producer Kelly McCormick said in a 2022 interview with Collider. Indeed, to the film industry and those of us who produce motion pictures. It’s also a tribute to the industry in a way. In addition, I think the audience will have a great time and it will be a lot of fun.

Stephanie Hsu (“Everything Everywhere All at Once”), Winston Duke (“Black Panther“), Hannah Waddingham (“Ted Lasso”), and Teresa Palmer (“A Discovery of Witches”) provide support for them in the movie. At CinemaCon 2023, audiences were able to see the movie in advance.

About The Movie

ABC aired the first season of “The Fall Guy” for 113 episodes from 1981 and 1986. It included Heather Thomas as Jody, now portrayed by Blunt, and Lee Majors as Colt, a character currently carried by Gosling. The show followed Colt as he worked as a stuntman during the day and as a bounty hunter at night, using his auto-stunt expertise to apprehend crooks. Majors is scheduled to feature in the next movie.

Drew Pearce wrote the screenplay for Leitch’s “The Fall Guy,” which was produced by Leitch, Gosling, McCormick, and Guymon Casady for 87North Productions and Universal Pictures. Pearce, Larson, Peter Cramer, Cecil O’Connor, Matt Reilly, and Geoff Shavitz served as executive producers. The movie “The Fall Guy” will be available on March 1, 2024.
