This year’s Tollywood releases include “Shaakuntalam,” another multilingual film in addition to “Varisu” and a few other Telugu movies. Senior director Gunasekhar wrote and directed this mythical drama movie. The well-known, enduring, and much acclaimed Sanskrit play “Abhijnana Shakuntalam” by Kalidasa is being adapted for the film, which stars Samantha in the title character and Dev Mohan as Dushyanta opposite her.
The movie also contains a popular supporting cast that includes Mohan Babu, Madhoo, Gautami, Aditi Balan, Ananya Nagalla, and others. It was primarily filmed in and around Hyderabad.
Here’s the trailer of the movie:
The movie’s trailer is excellent, with top-notch visual effects and beautifully shot scenery. It appears that the filmmakers have made the decision to make the movie as lovely as Kalidasa’s original writing. It would be impossible to view the majesty and splendour of the Dushyant’s Puru Dynasty on screen. Along with presenting Allu Arha, Gautami, Ananya Nagalla, Jisshu Sengupta, and others in other significant roles, the theatrical trailer also presents the emotionally charged principal characters.
Mani Sharma scored the soundtrack for the movie and also wrote the background music. Sekhar V. Joseph shot the movie, while Prawin Pudi edited it.
Alagarsamy Maayan will be in charge of the film’s enormous visual effects work, which will feature actors from China, Hong Kong, and Canada.
