You actually have to give it to Monarch, the made-up covert government organization from the Monsterverse of Legendary. The world has been kept ignorant of the existence of monsters that are larger than the majority of buildings. Well, at least up until today. Dun dun dun. We learn a little bit more about the group’s numerous secrets in the most recent trailer for the Apple TV+ series Monarch: Legacy of Monsters, as well as about the one former soldier who is prepared to blow some whistles. Godzilla also makes an appearance for some boom-boom claw.
Monarch: Legacy of Monsters Trailer Review
In 2014’s Godzilla, Cate, played by Anna Sawai, was in San Francisco when Godzilla made ashore, as the trailer indicates. Many people screamed, took shelter, or just stood there in shock. But some people recorded it as if they expected it. This directs her to a set of her father’s documents that contain details on Monarch. Eventually, Lee Shaw (Kurt Russell), who served under Monarch in the 1950s (when he was portrayed by Wyatt Russell’s real-life son), is encountered by her, her brother, and their friends. They can investigate the reasons why this planet isn’t ours as we once believed by working together, perhaps.
The trailer also features a wide variety of monsters, creatures, and titans. On this landmass surrounded by sea, John Goodman is shown escaping from long-legged monsters as his character from Kong: Skull Island. Shaw finally admits that they could use some assistance. In the climax, we get a stunning view of Godzilla’s scaly back before his signature roar. gets us every time.
Monarch: Legacy of Monsters, a 10-episode series, will premiere on November 17 with two episodes and air weekly through January 12.
