Extraction 2 2023 Trailer Review

Chris Hemsworth, a black operations mercenary who was assumed dead at the conclusion of Netflix’s first “Extraction” movie, has returning.

Hemsworth’s Rake is seen to be alive in the first “Extraction 2” trailer, and he wastes little time going back to work. In what looks to be a jail break, he savagely strikes people down with a riot shield, deflects a molotov cocktail with the shield, and then proceeds to hit protesters with his flaming fist.

In addition to producers Anthony and Joe Russo, who previously worked with Hemsworth. On “Avengers: Endgame,” director Sam Hargrave also returns for the follow-up. The sequel is Hargrave’s second movie as a filmmaker after the original “Extraction,” which served as his debut. He previously collaborated with the Russos as a stunt coordinator on the films. “Captain America: Civil War,” “Avengers: Endgame,” and “Avengers: Infinity War.”

Together with newcomers Daniel Bernhardt and Tinatin Dalakishvili, the cast also features Golshifteh Farahani and Adam Bessa. As Nik and Yaz Khan, members of Rake’s mercenary group.

Released in April 2020, the initial “Extraction” was a huge success for Netflix. 99 million households watching it in the first four weeks after release. It was the most watched original film debut in the history of the streaming service. On its first weekend, it was the most streamed title. For the Fourth of July weekend, it later reentered the Top 10 releases. The fourth-most-watched streaming movie of 2020 was “Extraction.”
