In the trailer, Arthur Curry is shown cuddling with his infant baby and adorably describing to him how “different” and “special” he is, exactly like his father. But these happy times are cut short when a furious Black Manta destroys Arthur’s boyhood home and abducts his son.

After obtaining the cursed Black Trident, David Kane, or Black Manta (Yahya Abdul-Mateen II), unleashes a terrifying, ancient power in the second and final installment of the DCEU Aquaman trilogy, which takes place several years after the first. David Leslie Johnson wrote the screenplay, which is directed by James Wan.

About Aquaman 2: The Lost Kingdom 

Momoa’s final appearance as Aquaman is in The Lost Kingdom before he joins James Gunn and Peter Safran’s new DCU as Lobo, an extraterrestrial bounty hunter who debuted in DC Comics in 1983. Momoa has been hinting at his desire to play the role for some time, so it wasn’t completely shocking when it was announced in October that he was in talks to portray the new character.

Jason Momoa as Aquaman, Patrick Wilson as Orm Marius, Nicole Kidman as Atlanna, Indya Moore as Karshon, Randall Park as Dr. Stephin Shin, Jani Zhao as Stingray, Temuera Morrison as Tom Curry, Dolph Lundgren as Nereus, and Amber Heard as Mera are among the cast members.

Aquaman 2: The Lost Kingdom Release Date

On December 22, Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom will open in theaters.
